iDoctor is one of the leading veterinary consultancies for eye disease, especially for cataract surgery. The medical firm has its own animal eye lens design. The web design concept is aiming to deliver the right message to vet owners in order to help their pets to cure cataract. They also offer online and offline consultation.

Goal

Many pet owners would google answers when pets get hurt or have abnormal behaviors in order to figure out what’s going on. iDoctor wants to have an official channel to reach pet owners to have a useful pathway to contact professionals. And the following topics are goals we would like to achieve:

1. Message to deliver
2. Contact iDoctor online
3. Get signups

Challenges

There are so many animal eye diseases and might confuse pet owners. How are we going to present and explain the symptom and diagnosis and let people understand the content easily? What’s the most interesting topic people would like to read and search? Which important key messages or keywords people are looking for? What kinds of services iDoctor should offer online? How iDoctor spread out its channels?

Design research

During the design research process, we interviewed professionals, other similar industry masters and pet owners to collect insights. After data analysis, we understand that there are five important topics that vet owners care. They are “what’s cataract”, “how to cure it”, “Is this cataract”, “what to eat”, and ”for professions”. These directions are very helpful tools for us to build up the website and make all the information more solid and clean. Social proof is also another convincible element for pet owners to trust the clinic. Many interviewees would refer to those professionals or people who’ve visited the same clinic. Stories from pet owners are valuable, too; like marketing buzz.

Presentation

Sharp and modern font represent iDoctor’s excellent sugary skills and technics. Website layout and content design are pretty straight forward, we want visitors to get information easily and clearly. It intends to correctly deliver a message to potential customers. To support iDoctor’s marketing team, we merge stories and testimonials into sections and put contact buttons over there for a call-to-action purpose. Eventually, we want visitors to contact iDoctor online and get help.
